Grandma Anne’s Books

Being a creative literature major in college, writing was something I just did, creating stories and games for my children when they were young. But drawing, painting, not me! Then at age 72, I learned to paint. Who would have thought? Finding I had some talent, a new passion was born. Inspired by a highly imaginative grandson, many stories and pictures swirlled in my head. Your bouncing little one will love these books.
Bing Bong Bouncing Howie’s Prancing Christmas Tree
After visiting the Baby Jesus, Bing Bong Bouncing Howie the Truck wants to buy a Christmas tree to surprise Susan Truck. But not just any tree will do. A wiggly, jiggly prancing tree must be found. Howie is surprised to find dancing twirling mice live in the Christmas tree branches. So they all bounce-dance together. Such fun!

Bing Bong Bouncing Howie the Truck
Four-year-old Boy bounced on the couch, telling stories of bouncing broccoli, bouncing tractors, and a bouncing little truck. After the Boy had stopped bouncing, a poem bounced into this grandma’s head. This story is for all bouncing girls and boys.

Adventures of Wheels and Paws
Wheels and Paws are hamsters who live at Boy’s house. They love adventures and Jesus, but sometimes they get a little confused. When they sing “Jesus Loves Me” and can’t remember the words, well, any words will do. So when the day is done, Boy and the family help them remember by singing the song together.

Adventures of Wheels and Paws at Wildwood
In the second book, the Little Fairies who live in Boy’s pocket, join Wheels and Paws on a camping adventure at Wildwood. The Little Fairies hear their favorite song, “This Little Light of Mine” up in the woods, so off they go to explore. Finding the Forest Factory Fairies, they join in manufacturing the ingredients for S’mores. Yummy. Join them around the campfire at Camp Wildwood.

Everyone’s Coming to Visit
Join Grandpa Bear, Grandma Bear, Boy and the critters as they prepare to go visiting from Idaho to California. “Not ready to go,” says Boy, “until everyone loads up!”

Boy Explores Cleanup Machines
“Oh no, everything’s a mess! Declares Boy. “Don’t worry, cleanup machines will help.” As Boy goes about the house and yard using cleanup equipment, Foxy asks, “How does it work?” Boy, being a budding engineer, Boy is happy to explain.
