What a project of love. A fresh retelling with deep truths and charm surrounding the first Christmas. This book has the look and feel of a favorite story shared by family-maybe a Grandmother or Grampa, a father, Mom… auntie of uncle reading this story and making it part of the conversation introducing the baby Jesus.

“O Glorious Hope: The Christmas Story of Jesus Birth and Love for Us” is a charming and sincere telling of the Nativity—and beyond—for parents and grandparents to share with small children. It’s reverent yet highly accessible, with scripture verses and lyrics of traditional Christmas carols throughout. The illustrations and interactive prompts for parents and children are whimsical and engaging. I manage our church’s bookstore (Church of the Incarnation, Santa Rosa, CA) and we have stocked Anne’s stories for children and will gladly stock this one, too.
